About Chardham Yatra

The Chardham Yatra includes four sacred shrines of Uttarakhand:

• Yamunotri
• Gangotri
• Kedarnath
• Badrinath

This journey takes place in the lap of the Himalayas, where faith, nature, and devotion come together to create a truly divine experience.

?Duration & Trekking Details

Chardham Yatra typically takes 9 to 12 days to complete comfortably by road.

Approx Travel & Trek:

• Yamunotri Trek: ~5–6 km (one side) from Janki Chatti
• Kedarnath Trek: ~16–18 km (one side) from Gaurikund
• Gangotri & Badrinath: Directly accessible by road (no major trekking)

👉 Total road journey can go up to 1,500–1,700 km depending on your route.

👉 If you want a shorter trip, helicopter packages are also available (4–5 days).

Health Eligibility (Most Important)

Chardham Yatra is slightly challenging, especially due to the Kedarnath trek and high-altitude conditions.

You are fit to travel if:

• You can walk 2–3 km daily comfortably
• Your BP and sugar levels are under control
• You have basic physical stamina

Doctor consultation is a must if:

You have heart-related issues: You suffer from asthma or breathing problems, or your age is above 60

Avoid the yatra if:
